PRODUCTION OF ARMOURED SCREWS
Fields of application:
Extrusion of plastic profiles, plastic injection, rubber production, food production etc.
Suitable for demanding processes where requirements for wear resistence are higher, ie for manufacturing different kinds of plastics with defined mainly abrasive additives. Suitable for machines producing recyclates.
Unsuitable for processes where materials filled with an abrasive element such as more than 15% glass fiber are processed.

We strictly use only certified nitrided steel from the most known European suppliers. Nitrided steel 1.8550 (34 CrAlNi7), alternatively ….
From Ø 25 to Ø 750 mm x to the lenght of 6000 mm (in one part).

The principle of nitriding process is based on penetration of atomic nitrogen into the peripheral steel layer with the tempterature of 550°C and it causes increasing the peripheral toughness by formation of nitrides and by depositing the nitrided atom in areas between grids which causes grid tension. The peripheral zone consisting of a diffuse zone and an interface layer has high toughness, good wear resistence, increased fatigue limit and increased corrosion resistence.

When nitriding the screw just partly according to the below selection the unarmoured areas are nitrided.
